The Zoo Story

The Zoo Story is the first play by the American playwright Edward Albee. My team and I helped design the characters, choreograph the scenography and produce the key visuals for Mamuka Tkemaladze’s staging at the Tumanishvili Theatre in Tbilisi.

With the stylist Tatiana Almond, I put together the costumes and props for the play’s two characters.

The key visual shows the tangled relationship between the two characters. In a quiet corner of Central Park, a wealthy, law-abiding, middle-class New Yorker meets a bothersome homeless man. What follows runs from an unwanted confession to a swift, disturbing catharsis.
