Infundibulum Fair

In January 2019, I worked with Ilya Varegin and his brand Infundibulum for the second time. This time we shot his FW2019 collection, Fair.

Our shared Pinterest moodboard grew to 193 images.

Ilya and I made it the story of five otherworldly creatures who have sneaked into our world and are trying to blend into human routine. Poorly.

Making the masks: hands shape, paint and fit grey cardboard over a head form.

We needed masks.

The look came from vintage police photographs. To save film, a detained criminal was photographed twice, full length and close up, on the same sheet.

We tested on 4×5 sheet film with a Sinar F3. It worked.
